I have over 17 years experience working as an electrical engineer during which time I have honed my expertise in automated test systems and used it to the advantage of the companies I have worked for. Since graduating in 1989, I have played a significant role in increasing my employers’ profitability by improving the efficiency and safety aspects of the many products I have worked on. For example, I have saved my current employer over $23 million.

Completing an MBA in 1991 helped develop my skills in managing projects and people, and my success as Chief Standards Engineer, and subsequent promotion to Chief R&D Engineer, for Advanced Technologies demonstrates that I am able to foster good working relationships with employees and develop stimulating working environments resulting in the successful completion of projects. I have also completed professional development courses in people management which would be invaluable in the position of Director of Electrical Systems. I have received training in ISO 9001 engineering procedures and implemented and enforced these procedures at Advanced Technologies. The procedures are still successfully applied in all of Advanced Technologies’ operations today. I look forward to the opportunity of putting this knowledge and experience to good use as director of Clever Engineering’s electrical systems.

I have been a member of Engineers Australia firstly as a student engineer and as a full member after I achieved Chartered Engineer status in 2001. I have been a member of both APESMA and the Australian Institute of Management for over 15 years. I believe these memberships enhance my technical and personal skills as an engineer as my membership helps me sustain existing and new professional relationships and provides plenty of opportunities for professional development.
