We have recently been granted the tender for pipeline construction for a major gas project, and are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager keen for a challenge, who enjoys making a difference when it comes to the environment and to the ways that projects are implemented.

Core responsibilities:

• Drive environmental management processes and sustainability outcomes
• Oversee HSE management plans and aid in project revision
• Manage the relationship between the project, regulators and authorities regarding compliance and impact targets
• Perform internal/external audits and risk assessments for work locations
• Oversee implementation of the Project Environmental Management Plan

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of environmental sciences and engineering systems, principles and methodologies
• A tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
• Three or more years experience in an environmental management role
• Experience in environmental monitoring and compliance
• Knowledge of OHS, HSE and environmental legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes
• A track record in managing large teams
• The written and verbal communication skills to provide clear communication of procedures and processes
• Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills
