We are a well known, global chemical company who are renowned for the manufacture of adhesives and sealants. We are looking for a chemist to join our well established and experienced team. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, you will be working in a busy laboratory and you will be required to display initiative and a very good attention to detail. Your major responsibility will involve the testing of raw materials, and manufactured and packaged products.

Your other duties will include:

• testing of raw materials and finished products via standard wet chemistry and physical testing
• calibrating laboratory instruments
• improving existing formulations
• compiling complex reports
• ordering consumables

As the successful candidate you will possess a minimum B.Sc. majoring in Chemistry and ideally have proven experience in testing in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook is a must.

In addition you will be self-motivated and have a can-do attitude. The ability to communicate effectively in cross-functional teams as well as with external clients is also essential. Candidates who come across as hard working, with commitment and dedication, will be highly regarded.
