Dear Ms Soil
Re: Parks and Gardens Labourer position
I am writing to apply for the position of Parks and Gardens Labourer for the City of Doontown as advertised recently on SEEK.com.au.
I am a highly organised and motivated labourer with several years experience in landscaping/gardening and as a builder’s labourer.
In my current role, I perform a range of labouring tasks for a respected building company in the city’s north. This includes using power and hand tools, assisting in the construction of wall frames, windows, doors and fences, manual earthmoving, driving a small tip truck to move materials, and removing and depositing organic landscaping material, in addition to general labouring duties such as site clean-up.
Prior to this, I worked as a gardener for several private properties, performing such tasks as mowing, brushcutting, pruning, earthmoving, planting, watering and composting. I have core skills in the operation and maintenance of various garden machinery including chainsaws, mowers and brushcutters, and can troubleshoot most problems that occur during machine operation.
I am a hard worker with a strong work ethic and a good eye for presentation. I am also physically fit and personable, and capable of working alone or as part of a team. I am professionally presented, and have steel caps, my own transport and my OH&S White Card. I am also willing to undergo a medical examination at a time of your choosing.
My resume is attached and I look forward to being able to discuss the position with you further.
Yours sincerely
