Pet Pals Care is a small animal-grooming parlour located in the heart of Brisbane. We are looking for a full-time pet grooming assistant to join our team – this is a great opportunity for an entry-level pet grooming assistant, or anyone looking for a career change. As a pet grooming assistant you will help the senior pet groomers to wash, groom and care for animals of all kind. You will also be required to do general administration tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Washing and prepping the animals for grooming
• Greeting and welcoming customers and pets
• Basic trimming and clipping
• Pampering and massaging pets
• Managing animal waste

We will provide in-house training and teach you the tricks of the pet-grooming trade, however some animal handling experience would be preferable. You will learn how to deal with different species or breeds of companion animals and be able to identify signs and symptoms of skin or fur conditions.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a love for animals of all shapes and sizes
• Be enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Have great people and animal skills
• Have a current Queensland Driver’s Licence
