A highly organised, thorough and motivated professional, I have spent more than 10 years in software development, overseeing architecture solutions for large corporations and medium-sized businesses. I am currently employed with Lateral Technologies, a recognised and respected boutique software development company.

Throughout my IT project management experience as a developer and as an architect, I have been constantly challenged to develop creative architectures to turn requirements into specific solutions. At all times I strive to strike the right balance between elegant design and practical simplicity to maintain cohesion between structural elements. One of my strengths is my capacity to approach solutions from multiple perspectives, to deliver the right solution to each client.

I am adept at Enterprise Application Integration and related practices, including SOA, SaaS and BPM, as well as Enterprise modelling tools, concepts and methodologies. I have considerable experience in large-scale customised applications development in a J2EE environment.

I am experienced and adept at the design, creation and optimisation of databases and am actively familiar with various UML forms, hardware platforms and operating systems.

In addition to my technical skills, I am particularly strong in communicating throughout the development and implementation process using my excellent written and verbal communication skills, to maximise engagement and understanding. I recognise the importance of being a strong team player and leader when it comes to forging a solution with developers and liaising with clients. I also possess excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.

I hold a Bachelor of Technology (Info Systems), an MBA and my PMP certification. I am also a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for Java (J2EE), a Sun Certified Java 2 programmer (SCJP), and have completed the IBM Certified Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML.

My goal is to continue learning and developing my expertise in my future role. I believe that I would be a perfect fit for Icarus and that this is a role in which I could continue to deepen and broaden my skills as a solutions architect while making a valuable contribution.
