Assistant Coach – Tri School

Tri School is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic assistant coach for a triathlon program at the Greg Taylor Aquatic Centre, Maycomb, Queensland.

Tri School currently manages a busy triathlon-coaching program for approximately 300 members at various levels of ability and for all ages.

The appointee will assist the head coach and directly contribute to all areas of coaching, including swim stroke development, strength training, transitions, cycling and running techniques.

The successful applicant will work closely with the head coach and program coordinator to ensure a professional and consistent approach to the Tri School programs and services, supporting the philosophy of triathlon for all ages, from beginners to elite competitors. The position also has a responsibility for mentoring and educating young triathletes.

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised and have a proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Successful applicants will be motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team.

Proven track record in working for another training business would be an advantage, as would qualifications in sports management.

Austswim and/or Green Licence Coaching certifications would be preferable but not imperative. A Working with Children (WWC) Blue Card will be required as well as a current WWC Check.
