If you have a technical aptitude and are considering starting a career in IT, this CRS1401441 Bachelor of Cyber Security qualification from AIBI Higher Education could provide a perfect pathway to a rewarding career. The course allows students to dive deep into the digital world, equipping themselves with practical skills to tackle real-world cyber threats. From understanding the nitty-gritty of network protocols to getting hands-on experience in digital forensics, the curriculum is designed for those eager to become the next line of defence in our online landscapes.
Commencing with a solid grounding in fundamental information technology principles encompassing programming, networks, and databases, students will then progress to more specialised coursework in areas such as applied cryptography, network security, web security, and cloud security.
On top of the tech stuff, there’s a big focus on the human element. Students learn about the psychological tactics cyber criminals use and how businesses can sometimes be their own worst enemy when it comes to cyber threats. There’s also a fair bit of ethical hacking where you learn to think like the bad guys, but, you know, for the good of everyone. It’s not just about codes and firewalls; it’s about understanding the whole cyber ecosystem.
This course is delivered in-classroom at both AIBI Higher Education’s Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth campuses, and students have an option of studying full time (3 years) or part time (6 years). For students outside of these cities the course is also delivered virtually with live online classes.
Scholarships available – AIBI Higher Education offers two scholarship programs for domestic students. Each scholarship is valued at over $10,000.
