There are no prerequisites for this course. However, students will need:

Access to a computer with word processing, email, Zoom/other, PDF reader capabilities, and a reliable internet connection
Basic computer literacy
Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) levels that indicate you have a high probability of being able to successfully complete the course. Skills Generation can help you assess your current LLN levels as required to ensure we are able to effectively support you
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card in QLD). Skills Generation can assist with your application if required
Ongoing access to an approved regulated children’s education and care service to complete workplace tasks

Most employers and work placement host organisations will expect you to have an up-to-date Influenza vaccination. Please attend to any requirements as soon as possible as you will not be able to commence your mandatory work placement without them.

The First Aid course must have this specific unit code. If in doubt, check with your Skills Generation trainer before enrolling in a First Aid course.
