We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to join our Sydney-based management group.

Core duties include:

• Setting the vision, strategy and long-term goals for the engineering department
• Developing, implementing and governing a robust change control process
• Ensuring the technical competence and reputation of the engineering department is enhanced and developed to consistently meet the technical requirements of incoming projects and the company’s strategic development plans
• Coordinating group resourcing and planning
• Forecasting long-term business strategies, including resource development plans and budget
• Providing mentoring and identifying avenues of professional development for the group
• Ensuring all design standards and specification reviews are developed and maintained in accordance with company standards
• Implementing and monitoring programs and initiatives to support the HSE ‘zero harm’ strategy
• Developing and reviewing engineering policies and procedures

The successful applicant will display the following skills and attributes:

• Tertiary qualification in engineering
• 10+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in mining operations/mineral processing
• Proven experience in coaching, leading and developing a well established engineering team of over 100 staff
• Capacity to delegate appropriately
• Ability to evaluate work practices, implement systems and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
