Prospector Industries is seeking an enthusiastic mine geologist to join our open pit operations team in Jewelstown, WA. Working across all fields of open pit geology, your role promises to be varied and interesting. Reporting to the geology manager, you will be responsible for:
 

• Daily development checks/geological mapping
• Assisting with interpretation and validation of grade control
• Planning of drilling sites
• Assisting with generation of structural models
• Reporting, data collection and system improvement
• Core logging and sampling
• Mineral resource evaluation and modelling
• Supporting management with life-of-mine planning and scheduling
• Liaising with the technical services department
• Upholding a high level of workplace health and safety standards

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

• A tertiary qualification in geology
• 1+ years geology experience in open pit metalliferous mining
• Mineral resource estimation experience (ideal, but not essential)
• Experience with a range of geology programs, including MineSight and other GIS software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
