Work Experience

Eclipse Mining Limited is a gold explorer and producer with exploration titles across five goldfields in Queensland.

Responsibilities:

• Log the stratigraphic of the gold hosted quartz veins and surrounding Ordovician turbidite sedimentary sequences
• Mark up sections to be sampled for gold analysis, to then be uploaded to Acquire for interpretation by senior geologists
• Conduct daily development checks and geological mapping
• Perform core logging and sampling, and mineral resource evaluation and modelling
• Perform data collection and reporting

Responsibilities:

• Assisted the graduate geologists as part of the summer vacation program
• Completed data entry using InSite and MineSight
• Conducted ore spotting from the excavator
• Conducted ore boundary markouts and trenching
• Operated the Pb/Zn Concentrator

Achievements:

• Worked in collaboration with the geology superintendent to maintain a smooth transition of data to a new computer software program (MineSight)
• Recognised by the Mine Manager for my proactive attitude towards safety

• Completed sampling and storing for the drill core
• Managed core preparation, including marking measurements, photographing and sampling

Achievements:

• Completed a third year university project at the site, which involved assessing the spatial distribution of gold grade within an individual quartz vein relative to its surrounding sediments
